"Snowmobiling in District 1 - There is nothing like it! "

From the day I got my first snowmobile in 2000 I have spent my winters enjoying the wonders of riding District 1 OFSC snowmobile trails. Some of the things I enjoy about riding in this area are the many trail loops that you can plan and ride in a few hours or a few days depending on your pleasure. When riding in D1 you will always experience many different types of terrain whether it is the Railbed stretching from the Eastern Boundary of Ontario to the city of Ottawa, cruising along side the 10,000 acre Alfred Bog, riding the trail that runs along the St. Lawrence Seaway, seemingly endless hydro lines in the Calabogie area or the many forest trails and farms fields with scenery and wildlife that always has you wanting to come back and see it again. When riding though the small towns and villages in Eastern Ontario you are always able to find a place to stop for a snack and refuel your sled and in most club areas there are warm up shacks or club houses trail side - this is where you get to meet some of the great people of Eastern Ontario that enjoy winter the way I do...Riding the great trails of District 1!
