"The leaf colour change brings excitement"
This is an exciting time of the year for me. The tree colours are fantastic I know, but for me it means the excitement of snowmobiling. I have been sledding since 1969 and look forward to year 41 with the same enthusiasm. I want to send a heart felt pat on the back for your organized clubs and the volunteers that make this treasured sport so enjoyable. I do most of my sledding in District one, mainly because of the variety of trails and awesome scenery. There is nothing as pretty as a frosty morning, clear blue sky, snow hanging on trees and the sun shining on a freshly groomed trail. One has to experience this at least once in their lifetime. I prefer District One because of the great job you guys do with signage and the large "You Are Here" billboards along the trails. Being somewhat destination challenged, it reassures me. I don't think of being lost, simply like to explore alternate routes!Stuart Spoor, Franktown, Ont
These alternate routes have surely improved since 1969, the humps and bumps have been smoothed and the brush cleared away for a safe passage through areas we could never see if not on a snowmobile. I could go on and on but the main reason for this note is to say thank you, and thank you to all the volunteers in District One.
