"Riding District 1 Trails:"
I have been snowmobiling for 38 years and ridden in several districts, but with District 1 trails going pretty well by my doorstep, I can ride all day in the district, and be assured of fine groomed trails. Meeting many pleasant people enjoying the same winter pastime, possibly seeing wild turkeys, wolves or deer, and getting plenty of fresh winter air.
The volunteers from the clubs in District 1 have worked hard, to make wide clear trails, especially for the grooming equipment. But at the same time, there are scenic areas through the bush, that bring back thoughts of earlier years, where grooming was basically non-existent or you had an Alpine machine with drag to use to take a few of the humps and bumps down.
I consider myself one of the lucky snowmobilers, because no matter where I decide to go, I will be travelling through part of District 1 on both parts of my trip. Bernie Davy - Prescott Ontario
