Snowmobiling is one of the greatest outdoor activities that our Canadian winters have to offer, and snowmobiling across the OFSC District 1 region is a delight that will put a smile on the face of any snowmobiling enthusiast. District 1 has such a variety of riding terrains from farmland to rail bed to beautiful mixed forest or the majestic scenery of the Greater Madawaska Highlands. The Calabogie and District Snowmobile club in the western region is my favourite place to ride. Riding these trails is a great opportunity to access areas of the region that would not be accessible at other times of the year, so it is truly is a great adventure every time I hit the trails. OFSC District 1 Trails and the associated clubs that support these trails along with their volunteers, provide a world class system that they should be proud of.
